Sadly, this emergent harmony has been lost to time.

There are many exceptions; the tide ebbs and flows. But the game industry, and game development as a practice, proceeds in permanent transformation into something far removed from the tight code it once was.

PAYLHORSE was thus established on the foundations of software design as an art, game design as an art, and the computer game as a conglomerance of arts, aspiring to resurrect a lost practice in earnest.
